Sing to the Lord, bless His name;
Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day.
Tell of His glory among the nations,
His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.
-Psalm 96:2-3 (NASB)
Hi! I’m Debbie or some call me Deb. I started this blog in 2010 when my husband and I began our journey with the Lord to serve as missionaries to the Shangaan people of Mozambique. We lived in South Africa for three years and returned to the states in August of 2014.
Writing has been a part of my life since I was a little girl. My mom still has my first poem, written in first grade, in which I describe her legs as a hair brush. I must have been mad at her that day! Whether it be an essay or poetry, over fifty years later I continue to put my thoughts to page. I also write book reviews. Some are from books I have received from publishers and others are from my own personal reading.
I strive to live as a Mary (at the feet of Jesus) in a Martha world. I am thankful for His saving grace that changed my heart and made me want to live for Him. It is here that I share about His work in my life, my shortcomings (I have many) and all, with the hope that my words would encourage your heart. If a post has been helpful to you, I would love to hear about it! You can email me at email@example.com.
