A Mission-Minded Woman is On Her Knees

Crystal, our mission-minded woman, never imagined how her prayers would eventually lead her and her husband to the mission field.

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”
Matthew 9:38 ESV
So far we have learned mission-minded women are willingand as we will see today they are “on their knees.” Mission-minded women are women of prayer. John Piper writes in “Don’t Waste Your Life”:

“Pray for harvesters and you may become one. God often awakes desire, and gives gifts, and open doors when we are praying and pondering real possibilities and real needs.”
How will we know if God wants us to go if we are not praying?
If we are not called to go, how do we know what ministry God may want us to give to if we are not praying?
Missionaries all over the world need prayer as they minister where God has led them.
Prayer is the fuel that keeps mission-minded women on task. Here are some great prayer resources that encourage prayer through the nations:

How have you incorporated praying for missionaries and nations into your prayer life?

Have you ever heard of Opened Doors, a missionary group stationed in South Africa, my home country? They work mostly in Africa and the East. I will keep them in my prayers this week.
    Blessings
