Missions Support Auction 2010

“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”  -Philippians 4:19

God once again proved His faithfulness to us through His people. The Zbinden/Crawford Mission Support Auction was above and beyond what we could have asked or imagined. Our church family, and even those outside the church, donated generously of items and time as God put everything together. Almost $5500 was raised to be split between our mission funds. To God be the glory!

While we can’t mention every name that gave or helped for we would not want to leave anyone out; I hope you will allow me to indulge in a tear-filled thank you to my Dad. He traveled from house to house as our church family called him with items to pick up…loading them and then unloading them at the auction barn. He placed ads in the newspapers. I have since learned that he is quite the spokesman for us. Telling whoever he comes in contact with about our plans. His coffee buddies give him money every now and then to give towards our fund. God gave him the desire to put this auction together and he followed through knowing that the raising of funds will take his daughter far away to another continent. That is a father’s love and I love him even more deeply for it.

And the auction’s on…

Words do not adequately express the thankfulness in our hearts to everyone involved. Doug and I cannot even talk about it without tears in our eyes. We are so blessed with a church family and friends that love and support us. May God bless each of you in a special way for your faithfulness.

  1. I didn't realize you had this blog! I think I always visited the other one! I have put the book you mentioned on a comment on one of my blogs on my Amazon wish list–sounds good and challenging, thanks!

The love of church family is so wonderful, isn't it?

  2. Amazing how the Lord provides and continues to confirm the calling He has placed on your lives. I remember all of the things big and little He did for us as we were preparing for our move to South Africa and all of the things He still continues to do to confirm that we are still right where He wants us. Enjoy your journey in the next few months and hold on – (we moved in June 09 and once January 09 arrived things just flew by) make the most of the opportunities He puts before you. Make lots of memories over the holidays and enjoy one more cold Christmas – Lord willing next year you can be here and swim on Christmas day! Enjoy those times with your dad… praise the Lord for his support. One thing the Lord showed us as we were praying about our move here, was in the the Experiencing God study by Henry Blackaby- He says that obedience is costly to you and those around you but disobedience is far more. It is a cost for you and Doug and it is a cost for your friends and family BUT God has something in it for you guys as well as your friends and family. It is amazing all that He has done in our parent's lives since our move. Can't wait to watch the next few months unfold and see all the Lord has for you both.
